Galloway Activity Centre
The perfect place for adventure seekers, with a range of water sports including windsurfing, kayaking, sailing and stand up paddle boarding, as well as archery, laser tag and loads more.
Kirkcudbright, Artists Town
Kirkcudbright is a vibrant harbour town, a thriving events calendar, many independent shops to explore and a rich history of art & Artists making the town their home.
Lochhill Equestrian Centre
Lochhill Stable Lodge is located at this great little riding school, so whether you're a pro, or haven't ridden before, why not enjoy a lesson or a hack in the stunning surroundings.
Cream o' Galloway
Whether its a visit to the cafe, a ice cream making workshop, a cheese making course, a farm tour, a nature walk and crazy golf, there's definitely something for everyone!
Ernespie Farm
There's so much to see at Ernespie! They have both indoor and outdoor play, a great cafe, animal barn, garden centre, a lovely gift shop and regular events.
Broughton House & Gardens
The home of world renowned artist Hornel, is now a museum displaying a large art collection. There is also a large Japanese-inspired garden to explore.
Portpatrick
A lovely seaside town with a great feel and plenty of great cafes, where you can sit outside and enjoy the views of the harbour. Lots of great walks and beaches to explore.
Stewartry Museum
This quirky museum holds a wide range of local historic exhibits, as well as a large collection of animals, birds and butterflies. They host special exhibitions and events too.
7 Stanes
Five of the famous 7 Stanes are nearby so if you're staying with us, bring a bike, or hire one and explore the world class trails on offer. Some locations offer cafes and visitor centres.
Castle Douglas, Food Town
A vibrant town with plenty of independent shops to explore. The food town has deli's, ice cream shops, a toffee shop, cafes, a wine shop, a speciality beer shop and more!
Peter Pan Museum
Moat Brae and The National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling is a must! Learn about the house and garden that inspired the classic children's story.
Raider's Road Forest Drive
A fantastic area to explore, this 10 mile forest drive is a lovely, peaceful, scenic route. Be sure to stop at the Otters Pool, look out for Red Kite's and at night enjoy the Dark Sky Park.
Catstrand
Catstrand is a great Art centre, theatre, cafe and visitor centre. With a wide range of live events, theatre, music and art, its well worth checking what's on during your stay.
Logan Botanic Gardens
You'd be mistaken for thinking this garden is somewhere with a tropical climate instead of South West Scotland as it is filled with tropical plants and palm trees.
Old School House, Ringford
Only five minutes from Lochhill Stable Lodge, this great cafe offers a wide range of tasty, fresh food and offers a great Sunday roast - best book to avoid disappointment.
Dark Art Distillery
Located in the Johnston Centre, Kirkcudbright, this gin distillery offers tours and a range of events which incorporate gin tasting. Well worth checking what's on during your stay.
